THE BIKE TRIP
…is a book.
A book I designed, edited, and helped write.
It tells the story of three of my friends and I biking across the United States in 2010, with no smartphones or planned out route.
It’s a story written by all four of us, both on the road and many years after.
It describes the crashes, crimes, and copious amounts of maturing that occurred.
And details the impact of a bike trip on four young men and of those young men on each other.
The book was started by my friend Alex.
When he passed away, I was sent his unfinished word doc, and got to work adding pictures, a weird narrative style, and words from the rest of us – preserving the time we spent on the road with our friend who is no longer with us.
